The new concert project “beyond borders …” by ensemble cantissimo uniquely combines musical, temporal and spatial levels. Fascinating choral works by Heinrich Isaac, Max Reger and Frank Martin are contrasted with the rapturous sonority of the digeridoo, inviting us to new sound experiences beyond our own boundaries.
The exciting concert programming of the ensemble cantissimo has been as legendary as its extraordinary sound culture for almost thirty years. The artful interweaving of new and old music with instrumental improvisation and text collages are the distinctive trademark of the internationally celebrated vocal ensemble, at the centre of which is founder Markus Utz as conductor with his subtle and highly sensitive art of interpretation.
